Amazing (Mostly) Edible Science: A Family Guide to Fun Experiments in the Kitchen
It is so much fun doing science experiments with my kids that they can eat. This book makes science more interesting and applicable to daily life. The juicy gel beads are not only fun but they tasted good. You have to be patient with this project, but the results are well worth it. Now we are thinking of recipes, like drinks, where we can use the juicy gel beads. The edible slime is right up kids' alley. Mine loved it. Be prepared for it to be very sticky. The amber maple sugar crystals are delicious. It was fun for us to make them, eat them, and start our journey on learning about crystals. In my opinion, this one requires adult involvement. There are scientific explanations after each experiment/project. The author also makes suggestions where to find the ingredients. So glad I bought this book since it makes learning seamless and fun.
